Brother James Findlay affiliated with Temple Lodge, No.33 on 9 April 1918 and remained a member of Temple Lodge until his death in April 1975, aged 97. At the times of his death he was the most senior member of the Lodge.

Here is more information on Brother James Findlay from Temple Lodge records:
"...A petition for membership of this Lodge by Affiliation was received from James Findlay of Moose Jaw Lodge, No.26, G.L. of Saskatchewan. The petitioner states he was born at Belfast, Ireland, age 40, Occupation, printer. The petition is accompanied by a receipt for dues to June 30th 1918 and the usual fee of $5.00. The petition is recommended by the Wor. Master W. Bro. H.F. Prevost and Secretary Bro. W.L. Dunn.
Moved by Wor. Bro. C. Dobson seconded by Wor. Bro. T. Pitt that the petition be received and the usual committee appointed. Motion carried. The W. Master appointed as a committee on this petition Wor. Bros. Greig, J.M. Campbell and Bro. H.G.E. Savage.."
[Note: Moose Jaw Lodge is No.3 on the Register of the Grand Lodge of Saskatchewan, Swift Current Lodge is No.26. We will contact the Grand Lodge of Saskatchewan for clarification on this.]

"..The Investigating Committee on the application of Norman Tressidor Corfield reported favorably.The Committee on the application for affiliation of James Findlay reported favorably.
It was moved by Wor. Bro. Fawcett seconded by Wor. Bro. Jas. Greig that the committee reports on the applications of N.T. Corfield and Bro. James Findlay be received, the committees discharged and the Candidates be ballotted on. The motion was carried.
The W.M. then ordered that a ballot be taken on the application for membership by initiation of Norman Tressidor Corfield. The ballot being completed it was declared fair in the South, clear in the West and bright and unspotted in the East. Thereupon the W.M. declared Norman Tressidor Corfield duly elected a member of this Lodge by initiation.
The W.M. then ordered that a ballot be taken on the application for membership by affiliation of Bro. James Findlay of Moose Jaw Lodge, No. 26. Balloting being completed it was declared fair in the South, clear in the West and bright and unspotted in the East. Whereupon the W.M. declared James Findlay duly elected a member of this Lodge by affiliation...."

“....The Secretary reported to the Lodge that the most senior member of the Lodge had passed to the Grand Lodge Above. The Brother being Brother James Findlay who affiliated with Temple Lodge March 12th, 1918. Died April 23rd, 1975. Age 97 years. The Worshipful Master called for a minutes silence and order the Charter draped for one month in memory of our late Brother.....”
